At Byron Bay there are a lot of wild dolphins. We have seen them from the beach, but we also wanted to come closer and used the opportunity to go kayaking with a group. We went out on Saturday afternoon and had a great paddle trip. The water was so clear, we could see 3-4 meters down to the bottom, but we didn't see any dolphins or turtles and we used the promised guarantee to paddle one more time for free. Sunday morning we were ready again. Still the water was beautiful clear and as we snorkelled we saw two big green headed turtles and could follow them under water for a long time. We weren't so lucky to see dolphins this time either, but we had a great time paddling and snorkelling. We had to use helmets, but we were allowed to stand up in the kayaks :-)
